How I organize my life & Some fun updates :)

Helloooooooo! Happy Monday!

I’m back! again!

This is gonna be a little bit different than my usual stream of consciousness rants. Recently, one really common question I’ve gotten is “How the heck do you organize everything?!”

And my answer has always been, “I just do.”

However, I know there is so much more to planning and organizing. For years, I struggled with it– balancing marching band, extracurriculars, school, and just life in general is hard. Wherever I looked, there wasn’t one huge secret for me to get my life straight. Life is messy; I just had to accept that.

Through my chaotic life, I’ve found Google Calendar to be my closest best friend. I wanted to walk y’all through my organizational system to hopefully help out since this is so commonly asked. :)

Here’s my lovely past week! It’s actually more empty compared to past weeks as I would usually have something right after school at 2.

Anyways, I do have a color coding system, though I know it’s not as effective as I’d like.

Blue - Personal

Salmon - Freelancing/Writing

Red - Work

Green - Nonprofit Work

Dark Purple - School

Light Purple - College Apps & Scholarships

Yellow - School Clubs

The color coding really doesn’t have any symbolism or anything; it’s just there for my peace of mind.

My typical day starts out with a workout (if i wake up in time lol). I don’t do alarms; I naturally just wake up at 8:00 weirdly, and of course, with some coffee. After working out (and yes, i did put shower in my calendar :D), I have school, lunch– the usual daily things. In the afternoon, I have work, sometimes a couple meetings, and other times I tutor someone in French. I finish off my day with some homework & of course, my favorite chamomile tea.

Weekends are a whole other mess, with scattered meetings, homework and work blocks, and facetimes with family and friends.

Anyways, that’s just how I do things. I’m very very particular about planning, which honestly annoys me sometimes because I do want those spontaneous moments where everything just falls into place like that, you know. But, my mind just doesn’t function without knowing exactly what to do and when; I forget easily.

So, hopefully that helps for all of y’all trying to figure out how I live my life hehe.

Oh, and before I go back to sleep because it’s an async day (which means no school basically!), my latest song obsession sponsored by one of my besties, Advika! (HAPPY BIRTHDAY VIKI!) <3 I’m sorta into KPop now, so that’s something.

Some Savvy Life Updates

Since above was mostly a little glimpse into my calendar obsession, I did wanna share a couple of new things that happened over the past week! Exciting!

I got a job as a content creator!!!!!!!
I figured out I’m super duper awkward at ending meetings.
I’m starting a new Substack with another nonprofit project I’m working with!
Birthday season has officially started for me (March-May!) Basically like 80% of my friends have bdays within these three months so fun times! If you have any stellar gift ideas, feel free to send my way; I’m gonna be spending a LOT of time on bday gift guides on Buzzfeed. :)
